Chapter 34
Chapter 10: Parent Observation Class
* * *
Was it because of purifying magi?
Or thanks to Karhen's hidden assist?
The children were completely assimilated to Iri.
Even Morgan!
"Lord Morgan, somehow your eyes look clear since the duel?"
"Definitely. Used to be mad eyes clouded over, now."
"Now mad eyes but clear?"
"Sh-shut up, all of you! I absolutely, absolutely didn't kneel from being surprised by that or anything!"
*'Why're they getting friendly with me? Why do I keep seeing magi!'*
Iri couldn't understand the situation at all.
But anyway, even Morgan seemed to feel affinity toward Iri.
*'Thanks to occasionally nom nom-ing magi, Morgan's eyes cleared up.'*
But the proudest part wasn't Morgan, but Karhen!
Karhen's formerly weary eyes now frequently sparkled with passion.
The other monster hybrid friends followed Karhen's lead, working hard too.
*'Super super proud! Raising them well!'*
Feeling like sprouts shooting up vigorously!
Not just preventing doom, but saving the kids' lives.
Iri looked proudly at [My Dream] homework Karhen submitted in class.
[Karhen's Dream: The One Who Guards From Behind.]
Not sure what he meant by guarding something, but way better than destroyer.
Iri felt immensely proud.
Until she saw the [Parent Observation Class Participation Survey Notice] on the [Family Bulletin] from the teacher.

This kid here.
Blood-red curly hair and silver eyes.
Name, Mary Blood.
Dream job: 'Awesome Warrior Who Makes Monsters Explode With Landmines.'
Specialties: Climbing on bed with mud-caked shoes, teasing elders, cheekily mimicking parents' speech.
But today's Mary was somehow different.
The moment she got off the carriage and arrived home, Mary yelled loudly.
"How do you do-nimikka! Mothew!"
"...?"
Mrs. Blood looked flustered.
"M-Mary. Is that you? Or a replica monster wearing Mary's skin?"
"Not at all-nimida!"
Mrs. Blood tilted her head puzzled at the speech oddly mimicking someone.
But Mary was indeed strange.
She used to enter home with eyebrows raised, furious like she'd abandoned the world.
"Th-th-th."
Plus, she'd throw tantrums refusing to speak.
Something weird was happening in their world.
"Why's our Mary suddenly like that?"
"Maybe learning weird stuff in class?"
"Could be."
They were Northern knights.
Born with bold yellow sprouts, swept up in the North's flawed education.
So acting like thugs was family tradition.
They couldn't fathom why the kids suddenly minded manners.
But they traded with the South too.
They knew how Southern social circles behaved.
"Our kid's being polite, kinda feels good deep down."
"You too? Me too."
Half expectant, half excited.
Parent observation day approached.
* * *
On the other hand, some were furious their kids seemed to be turning soft.
Morgan's family, top delinquent kid.
"Mothew, pwease take, no, take it or not, no, pwease take...!"
Morgan's mother.
Spear Knight Ellen, called North's top barbarian warrior.
She used spears but tore bears barehanded too.
Her precious son Morgan was set to inherit the family trade as warrior.
But now Morgan had changed.
"Wh-what did you say! Morgan!"
"Teachaw, no, -nim sent the family buwwetin... Dang! My body's weird!"
"M-Morgan?"
Ellen took the family bulletin Morgan handed. Then Morgan rampaged and yelled.
"I-I'm turning into a gentweman!"
Looking nothing like a gentleman, Morgan stormed into his room.
But.
Thud.
Unlike usual, he didn't slam the door.
*'Th-that's pretty gentwemanwy?'*
Ellen shuddered and gripped the politely handed family bulletin.
"What's going on?"
But Morgan didn't answer.
So she decided to grill her husband returning from magic research division.
"Dewar, our Morgan's gone weird! Gotta snap him out of it. Smash his head now!"
"What're you saying, dear?"
"Came home suddenly asking! Says he's becoming a gentweman! Gentweman!"
Her sturdy barbarian warrior son aspiring to something as trivial, weak, frail as 'gentleman'?!
This absolutely couldn't happen!
Ellen's face twisted.
And even more shocking happened.
Morgan got up early morning and went to Training Hall!
Mornings, he'd roll on floor like bold barbarian warrior yelling 'I ain't going to Training Hall!! Everyone not in my cwass get outooo!'—her spirited son Morgan.
Such a son voluntarily going to Training Hall!
Something weird was definitely happening to the kids.
They cherished their kids in their own ways.
Had to find out why the kids changed.
"We'll participate in this parent observation class."
That was why.
On the last day of etiquette class, the day the family bulletin announced parent observation class.
All parents decided to attend.
Except one person.
Declan Ortejo, unaware parent observation existed.
