Ch#295

Fragment of the Broken Glass Slipper Side Story 5 Episode 2

"Mel, I'm serious—shouldn't you drink some water first?"

Mel shook his head at my words. His slightly loosened eyes evoked those of a beast, sending an inexplicable chill down my spine. It felt like a growl rumbled from somewhere.

"No, I'm fine. Perfectly fine. So kiss me instead of water."

"Pardon? Mel, do you even realize what you're saying?"

"Yes. Of course. I know exactly what I said. So, Cisse?"

My cheeks flushed at his coquettish plea for a kiss. Mel rubbed his cheek against my hand like a sated beast.

Good heavens, what on earth was this?

I screamed silently.

"Please."

His plea tickled deep inside my belly. His raspy voice, scraping like it clawed at my throat, made my head spin.

Unable to bear the tension, I lowered my gaze.

We're married, and we've kissed many times—there's no reason for shame...

Still, why was this man acting so lewdly? I oddly felt like crying.

"Cisse, come on."

He kept urging me. Determined to claim my lips somehow.

I hesitated, then obediently lifted my head and licked his lips with my tongue. Like a young beast. And I couldn't go further. That was my limit.

Mel smiled faintly like the waning moon and lightly nipped my lower lip with his teeth. Then, as if unable to endure, he showered me with a long kiss.

The hot flesh tangled dizzyingly, wrapped in sticky saliva, tasted sweet as nectar.

I swallowed a moan and accepted his kiss. Stars burst before my eyes.

"I can't believe it. Why am I so happy? Tell me this isn't a dream."

Mel murmured moments after parting lips. The earnestness in his voice made my heart race.

"Yes, it's not a dream. We're married, Mel. That's reality."

"I see. No wonder I feel like I'm going mad."

He drew me into his arms. Tension melted in his firm, warm embrace. The shared warmth was simply endearing.

"Even kissing you doesn't make it feel real."

His whisper was low and cautious. I reached out to stroke his solid shoulder. And asked, "What doesn't?"

"It feels like you'll melt into the darkness and vanish."

"Even like this in your arms?"

"Yes. Strange, isn't it?"

"Must be from waiting so long."

Mel firmly denied it.

"No. I could wait forever if you wished. It's just that this long-desired moment feels unbelievable."

How could I ease his anxiety? I rubbed my cheek against his kind, gentle embrace. And suggested,

"How about this? We talk about what happened today."

"Today?"

"Yes. Like this."

In a soft voice, I shared my preparations for the day. It was tough donning the dress without a sip of water, but I endured thinking of seeing you—things like that.

Each time I finished a sentence, Mel responded immediately, as if waiting. From not sleeping well the night before, to bickering briefly with his teasing brother that morning—his day, unknown to me.

We soon exchanged playful laughs about our excitement until reaching the temple.

"Finally putting on my shoes, my heart felt like it would burst."

"Same for me. I nearly collapsed disgracefully."

"You escorted me upon arriving at the temple."

"Wasn't my behavior odd then?"

"Pardon?"

"My eyes nearly went blind. No, they definitely did then."

"And now?"

Instead of answering, he placed my hand over his heart. The violent pounding felt ready to leap out. Ah, he loves me. This was certain conviction.

"Me too."

"Cisse..."

Thus, I confessed shyly.

"Even now, looking at you blinds me."

The more time with him, the more beautifully our love shone. Calling each other "yours" was no different.

So I hoped he'd muster a bit more courage. What we needed now was instinctive honesty.

"Mel, I'm yours. And you?"

"Yes, exactly."

"So no more anxiety. It's our wedding night."

I kissed his cheek with a soft smile. Then Mel whispered in a husky, low voice. So alluring it was hard to believe it came from the Knight of Ice.

"My Cisse, you always drive me mad. My love, my goddess. What if I hurt you?"

He lightly swept back his fallen forelock. My heart thumped at his seductive smile crinkling his eyes.

"It's fine. Because it's you, Mel."

Hiding my flushed face, I replied softly. Then, in an arrogant tone, commanded,

"So kiss me. Then all will be forgiven."

"All?"

"Yes, even if you hurt me. So, my knight, kiss me."

Mel kissed me as if he'd waited. I boldly wrapped my arms around his neck. His large, warm hand caressed my shoulder. The other gripped my waist, pulling me firmly against him. My body tilted slowly in his hold.

In the deep night, we melted into silence, sharing breaths.

Intense sensation dominated the space, like yielding to blazing sunlight. The world flickered like tinnitus in illusion, hot steam scattering atop.

Sharing body heat, that intimate pleasure distorted and realigned everything repeatedly.

Thus, we became man and woman to each other. Utterly ecstatic time.

The next morning, I awoke deep in sleep, nestled in his arms. Shamelessly, I gazed at his just-awakened face with a beaming smile. The touching warmth felt so good.

Mel scattered feather-light kisses on my cheek, jaw, and nape, whispering softly.

"Sleep well, wife?"

I nodded slightly. Though both just awake, Mel's face remained handsome. Unfair.

Mel fixed my turning face with his hand, as if now shy, and said with a radiant smile,

"Don't turn away. Let me keep your pretty face in view. I always hoped for days like this, but now that it's here..."

"How is it?"

"Utterly fantastical."

"Shall we continue this fantastical time?"

"What do you mean?"

I blinked wide-eyed, whispering playfully.

"I think I need more sleep. What do you think, Mel?"

Instead of replying, he extended his arms wide, drawing me closer. Resting his chin lightly on my head, he said,

"Wife, how are you so wise? Brilliant idea."

Reaching perfect agreement, I inhaled his scent and closed my eyes quietly. Sleeping in on our first newlywed day—but everyone would understand.

Feeling a bit brazen, I ignored it and drifted off chasing his warm body heat.

We awoke fully past noon.
