Chapter 27

27. I'll Do Well

Kangwoo smiled softly, caressing Naeun's cheek.

"Don't worry. I think I'll do well."

Naeun tilted her head at Kangwoo's words.

"You're not saying you're good at it because you have a lot of experience."

"Saying that in this situation is rude."

"Is it?"

Kangwoo smiled at Naeun, who looked up at him with fluttering eyelashes.

"It's our first time together. Isn't that enough?"

Right. The fact that it was the first time for both of them—wasn't that the most important thing?

But Naeun was worried. She'd heard it hurt a lot, and... However, she didn't have time for such thoughts.

Her mind was already hazy, and with every kiss from Kangwoo, her thirst grew more intense.

Wherever Kangwoo's lips touched, unknown emotions bloomed like flowers of heat. She was thirsty for him, wanted him, and he...

But he was natural and skilled. Naeun entrusted her body to him and let herself be led by whatever he did.

Kangwoo was holding her with utmost care. She could feel it. Amid all the dizzying sensations sweeping through her,

when she gathered her wits, Kangwoo whispered in her ear.

"Naeun, something's strange."

"Yes?"

"It's really strange."

Kangwoo saw the bloodstains on the bed and recalled that Naeun had struggled during their intimacy. All these things pointed to one thing.

"Naeun, it seems you've kept a lot from me."

Then Naeun nodded with her eyes closed.

"Yes. You know we haven't said much about each other, right?"

Kangwoo replied to Naeun,

"Is that so? I see you as you are."

Then Naeun said with a serious face,

"I can't see anything from you, CEO."

Kangwoo laughed at Naeun's words.

"Nothing to see?"

"Yes. What is there to see? I don't know what you're thinking or how you've lived. I only know you're the CEO and Minho's uncle. That's all I know about you, but you know so much about me."

Kangwoo chuckled. How could she be so lovable? Naeun was like a spring day every time he saw her. And now in his arms, even more so—like spring sunlight that might vanish any moment.

"You know once isn't enough, right?"

As Kangwoo subtly pressed his body closer, Naeun shook her head.

"I didn't know. Go easy on me."

"Absolutely not. Did it hurt a lot?"

When Kangwoo asked, Naeun thought for a moment and smiled.

"It felt good, kind of."

Kangwoo furrowed his brows.

"Hey! 'Kind of good'? This time, I'll make it definitely good."

"Really?"

Kangwoo laughed at Naeun's question and kissed her again.

This woman wasn't clumsy. She'd never done it before. But how could she be Jiho's mom?

But right now, that wasn't important. With Han Naeun, bright and warm like spring sunlight, in his arms. Kangwoo whispered in her ear.

"Trust me. It'll get better and better."

Those words sounded endlessly distant to Naeun.

Naeun suddenly opened her eyes wide while sleeping.

She didn't remember well where she was. But one thing was certain: a large man was holding her tightly beside her.

How did this happen...

"Crazy."

She had been the one to ask for alcohol first during tea time, chase him upstairs, and seduce him. Naeun carefully got up and looked at the bed sheet. As expected, there were bloodstains. What excuse to make? No need for one—he wouldn't ask.

If he did, she'd answer appropriately or tell him to figure it out.

As Naeun tried to carefully slip out of bed, Kangwoo grabbed her hand tightly.

"Already awake? What time is it?"

Even though the sun rose late in winter, by Kangwoo's estimate, it was only around 5 a.m.

"Sleep more."

As Naeun tried to get up, leaving Kangwoo behind, he wouldn't let go of her hand and said,

"Stay a bit longer together."

"No."

"Do you always wake up this early?"

At Naeun's firm words, Kangwoo whined.

"Yes. Morning person Han Naeun... but just a little more."

Kangwoo pulled Naeun close and lightly kissed her.

"Let's start with a morning greeting. Us."

Kangwoo pulled Naeun tightly into his arms again. Feeling his hardened body, Naeun opened her eyes wide.

"What's this? Aren't you too greedy? We did that much last night."

"This is a natural phenomenon. You know. Even Jiho gets like this in the morning."

Then Naeun understood immediately.

"Ah. Then it'll go down soon."

Kangwoo was exasperated, her nonchalant expression treating him like a baby.

"But today, I don't think so? Because someone's next to me."

Kangwoo said that and hugged Naeun again. Their hot time alone started from the morning.

Naeun quickly showered and got dressed. But walking was more uncomfortable than expected. Seeing that, Kangwoo chuckled.

"Can't walk?"

"No. Of course not."

"Seems like it? Wait a moment."

Then Kangwoo went in first, washed quickly, and came out. But when he emerged, Naeun was gone. Thinking of her going down the stairs with that gait made him laugh and worry at the same time.

Coming down to the first floor, Naeun was boiling bubbling vegetable soup.

"What's this?"

"Vegetable soup. I prepped it yesterday—just need to boil. Want a plate before you go? I can add toast."

Kangwoo shook his head.

"You're tired, so I'll make the toast. If the soup's done, sit down."

Then he scooped up Naeun and sat her on the sofa.

"But I can just plate it now, right?"

"Yes. The kids will wake up soon..."

"Don't worry about the kids. I'll handle everything."

"We did that all night."

"Yes? Why?"

Kangwoo really handled everything deftly, perfectly setting the soup and toast side by side.

Naeun, dazedly watching Kangwoo, nodded. She woke early for breakfast to start the day simply—eating before the kids gave her the energy to care for them.

As Kangwoo tried to pick her up again, Naeun stopped him with both hands.

"Wait. I can walk? Being carried around like this really doesn't suit me."

"You'll get used to it more and more."

Kangwoo carried her as is and sat her at the dining chair.

"The feeling of floating in the air isn't familiar."

"It's good even if not familiar, right?"

Naeun laughed and nodded. Not familiar, but good. Warm, loved feeling.

"At this rate, my feet won't touch the ground."

"That sounds good too? Let's try the soup. So delicious. I might get fat like this."

At Kangwoo's words, Naeun looked up.

"I've gained weight."

"I like gaining weight. Means your food has been delicious all this time."

"The food is extremely delicious. So you've gained my weight too? I've been keeping my weight strictly."

"Eat a lot."

"You too, Naeun."

As they were amicably finishing the soup, Minho came out first, rubbing his eyes.

"Good morning."

Seeing him greet Naeun like a normal child made Kangwoo's heart swell.

"Minho, greet your uncle too."

"Good morning, Uncle."

Minho greeted him naturally too. Naeun went to him and hugged the child tightly.

"Did Minho sleep well?"

Minho nodded. The child was improving day by day. This woman, warm like spring sunlight, was melting everyone around her—adults and children alike.

"Our Minho, can you wash your face alone?"

When Kangwoo asked, Minho nodded.

"Yes."

"Wash up and come out."

As he rolled up his sleeves, Minho climbed onto the bathroom stool and started washing his face with splashing sounds.
