I Became the Blind Maid of the Duke's Family [Novel]

I possessed the body of a blind maid working in a ducal household.

The young master I serve is the male protagonist of this novel, and he suffers from a rare, curse-like disease.

Whenever light touches him, he feels excruciating pain as if his flesh is burning away.

Locked in darkness all day long, the only person who can truly care for him is me—someone who can work perfectly fine without seeing anything.

“You planning to peel off all the skin on my back or what?”

“It has to be scrubbed this hard to feel refreshing, Young Master.”

I scrub away the dead skin for the male lead who has to bathe in pitch blackness,

“Alright, let’s try walking while counting your steps.”

…Thud!

…Thud!

“Young Master, do you perhaps have some kind of directional sense problem?”

I even teach him how to walk without crashing into walls.

“Our Young Master’s skin is going to stay baby-smooth forever. Since you never see sunlight.”

“…Are you teasing me?”

I comfort him with all my heart and sincerity.

But starting from some point, the way the male lead breathes toward me begins to change.

“Touch it properly.”

He grabs my hand and brings it to his own face, saying,

“Even if you can’t remember any other face, you must never forget this one. Got it?”
