Baby Wildcat of the Tiger Clan

I am Bariya, the greatest wildcat shifter in the world! (Age 10) One day, after losing my mother to hyenas and being hounded by them every single day—

“A kitten?”

I got caught by a fierce tiger shifter who couldn't even tell a wildcat and a cat apart! I was ready to scratch his face right off and make a run for it, until—

“You hate hyenas too? So do we. Let’s form an alliance.”

I figured I'd just stay under their protection since we shared a common enemy. Except…

“Little one, do you like shoulder rides?” “Eat up. Eat more! Keep eating until you’re so round you roll around!” “Play with me today!”

Why on earth are these tigers being so sweet to me?!
